Sheet 04 · About
A workshop that documents itself
AUTOBAHN CLAIMS LLC repairs high-voltage cars and sells a small number of inspected electric and hybrid vehicles. Both halves run off the same sheet, and the sheet is the product.
Why the drawing
A photograph flatters a car. A dimension does not.
Every car on this site is presented as a dimensioned elevation rather than a photograph: length, height, wheelbase and the position of the pack, drawn to scale in millimetres. It is how an engineer would describe a car, and it happens to be the honest way to sell one.
The same logic runs through the workshop. A dashboard estimate of battery health is replaced by a controlled charge and discharge cycle. A statement that a fault is fixed is replaced by the same measurement taken twice. Where we cannot measure something — the founding year of this business, for example — the field is left empty rather than filled in.

Working rules
Four rules that do not bend
| Pos. | Rule | What it means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Every reading is written down | Measured values go onto the job sheet by hand, with the date and the conditions. Nothing is quoted from memory and nothing is estimated. |
| 02 | The measurement is repeated | The same test point is measured after the repair, so the customer receives a before-and-after pair rather than an assurance. |
| 03 | No work without approval | A part is not ordered and a panel is not opened until the customer has seen the figures and agreed the price for that exact job. |
| 04 | A refusal is written too | When a job is turned away, the reason goes on the sheet in the same words it is given on the phone. It is the same document either way. |
Asked at the desk
Questions, answered without a script
Do you work on cars you did not sell?
Yes. Roughly half of the workshop diary is cars bought elsewhere. The service sheet is identical either way.
How do you quote without seeing the car?
We quote the diagnosis first, as a fixed figure. Repair prices follow the measurements, and nothing is ordered before you approve them.
Is a battery health report worth it before selling?
It is the single document private EV buyers ask for. A certificate with measured usable capacity removes most of the haggling.
Can you service a plug-in hybrid as well as a full EV?
Yes — both sit on the same sheet. Hybrids get the power-split and clutch checks, EVs get the pack and charging tests.
Do you store customer cars overnight?
Cars stay indoors on the premises. Keys are logged in and out; nothing is moved off site without your written approval.
What happens if a repair does not fix the fault?
We keep the same measurement points on file, so the next step is decided from data instead of a fresh guess. Re-diagnosis after our own repair is not charged twice.
Next step
Come and read a sheet before you buy anything
The job sheets and battery certificates of finished cars stay on file. Ask at the desk and we will pull one out for you to look at — it is the clearest way to judge a workshop.
